Vodafone has launched a Ferrari branded mobile phone for Sharp 902SH and GX25. The new limited edition handsets appear in the distinctive red of the Grand Prix car and feature the aspirational Ferrari logo. The user interface has been specially customised and Ferrari fans will be able to access unique content including 3D games, videos, screen savers, wall papers and ringtones.

The handsets will be available for sale, from April in Vodafone stores worldwide. Only a very limited number of these distinctive Ferrari phones have been produced, making them an instant collector's item.

Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher commented, "The new Ferrari handsets are great and an essential accessory for all true Ferrari fans, and with Vodafone live! fans can stay in touch with the team and obtain the complete inside line from Scuderia Ferrari."

"The handsets look amazing and in order to have all the latest Ferrari news at the tip of your fingers you must go out and add this Ferrari phone to your racing memorabilia," added Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello.

why can't you get yours unlocked?

The UK one's can be unlocked by calling Vodafone and paying 20 pounds.

Well ofiaich because these will be produced in limited edition versions i presume they will cost a fair bit more than the standard versions.Your proberbly looking at £500 to £600 handset only for the 902 and around £300 for GX30 but this is only a rough guess. [addsig]

Hi!

Dear Voda are charging upto 170 pounds for the 902 on contract, so I guess it would be contract plus 500-600 for this Ferrari one!

Good God! I remember an Aston Martin Motorola v600??? Hmmm, seling for maybe 2000 dollars!

Money to burn some people!

They are a nice design, but I would be devastated if mine got scratched - one for the collectors or the rich who can afford to accessorize with their car.

Hi!

I paid 50 pounds for my Ferrari 902, and got a S-E HBH 300 bluetooth headset for free. ( Selling for 100 pounds in the local Voda shop. )

I also got 3 months free insurance, and half price line rental for 6 months.. etc etc...

I am very happy with it although some 3gp files will not play even though they play on my PC.
