By the way, T300 is gonna be very cheap......its direct at those nokia 33XX users who are sick of nokia and their crappy screen and would like to go for some cheap colour screen phone with downloadable games and some other fun stuff like the midi ringtone........I believe many 33XX would switch to T300 !!!

Exactly. Just another reason to stay the hell away from that ugly brick like phone.

The T300 is targetted at the youth market, the ones who currently own 3XXX series Nokias. The 7210 and 6610 are targetted at the midrange/business market... currently, I don't see any SE model that competes with these Nokia models directly. As I said before, the SE P800 is a DIRECT competitor to the Nokia 7650. The fact that they are both approx the same size, price, use similar OS, and both sport built-in cameras, it's VERY OBVIOUS these two are pitted against each other.

I think the 7210 looks dumb. The 6610 looks good. SE's choice of blue/white doesn't appeal to me so much. But, we'll only know for sure once these models come out. Nokia is quite notorious for overpricing ancient technology... so it would be interesting to see their MSRP for their new models.

sanjeevjaya: -> To post a picture here, I think you'll have to use HTML, and have HTML enabled in your forum preferences. I have disabled HTML in this post to show you how it could be done:

sanjeevjaya: -> OK, I understand what you mean but I don't think you can do that.

In Sweden you can pre-order the 6610 for about USD 600. I've heard the T300 will cost about half of that and you can buy the T68i for less than USD 600. Then who will buy the 6610, and who's buying the 6510? I don't know but I think the 6510 and the 6610 are the best looking phones I've seen. For some peolpe, price doesn't seem to be an issue, and I think those people will go for the 6610. I know I would...

The 7210 and the 6610 are both much better phones than the t300. The t300 will have the same screen as the t68, which means 256 cols, no more. The nokia phones will no doubt be a lot faster in the menues etc. Their screens are bigger and can display an entire sms on a single screen. The nokias have java. But, again, the t300 should be compared to the 33xx and not to the 7210 and the 6610.

I don't think you can post a pic, just point a URL to the jpeg/gif on a site... enclose the URL in

[Img] [/img] and the photo will show in your post. The T300 is ok... but not the nicest phone Ericsson has ever made. :s looks to unrefined in the design process. Shapes/curves are too basic.

The 7210 and 6610 are essentially the same phone (same features, point by point), the 7210 is targetted at the youth market with translucent covers etc. and the 6610 at the business market with more conservative covers.

Let's face it, without Bluetooth on the T300 - the Nokia 6610 is more advanced.

As for the menu system, it's a preference thing. You either see the all your menu options on-screen on the Ericsson or scoll each option individually on the Nokia). I don't know about the T300 but the T68i has a menu that seems a tad slower than Nokia's, but with the joystick I can select the menu option with fewer keypresses (I know you can press MENU 5 2 3 etc. on the Nokia, but you can just as quickly do that on the T68i).

Besides, until you've used the awful menu system on the Motorola Accompli 008 - you shouldn't even complain about the T68i being slow.

Yeah, stick to ! Both T300 and P800 are quality phones that should stand up to phones from any other competing phone makers!

I don't believe in staying faithfull to a manufacturer. Even though I love my T68, I feel it's time to upgrade... And my new phone will be a Nokia 7210 cause I love the design and the fact that it has a better colour screen and Java, and hopefully a faster menu system. But this doesn't mean I'm sticking to Nokia. If SE or Samsung or whatever are coming out with a new phone in the future that I really fall for, I will get that phone. Btw, I will be keeping my beloved T68! :-)
