Just spoke to SE. They say that they have localized the problem and are working on a fix. Two weeks is what they say.

You might want to mention that you want your money back to "motivate" them.

Just spoke to SE yesterday. They say that there is a new software upgrade. Might fix it. Not sure. I will go there next week and see.

Actually I think my case is nearly the worst... my S700i was replaced by Sony's service 5 times with totally new devices, with like 4 or 5 efforts to fix the phone each time. I am without a phone for 3 moths now. All the phones were rebooting when someone was trying to call me and, as I couldn't see who was trying to call me, me friend who was trying to reach me was getting a message like I was hanging up on him. My dad and cousin bought the same model and have exactly the same problem. Someone from a store told my dad that S700i was the model with the biggest percentage of damaged devices that Ericsson has ever created... Am I lucky or what??

@ sapporobaby

Any news on that firmware fix?

I don't have this problem but the firmware fix would be nice, just in case!

SE said that the newest f/w upgrade might fix it. I will take my Power Book with me tomorrow and see if the new f/w fixes anything.

Hope the new FW works !

I have like forever faced the reboot .

BUT IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I AM USING GPRS/ WAP / NET

Very Frustrating, as NO other symptom or explaination is there !

Mine is R3B032, but as such other FW's the alleged latest ones too have it in them. So its very much an issue.

Those who are saying they dont ! feel blessed !
What else to say !

These SE Serv Centr Jonny's in Bombay aren't really up to it with lesser sold models (higher end ones)

Just got the new f/w: R3M. It was the one on the SEUS. Have not tested it yet but will do so and report back. If this does not fix it, then I want my money back.

R3M does not solve the rebooting issue for sure!I tested it with my stereo system,my dvd & other devices! When i have the MS inside the phone the rebooting exists!
