I use IE6 and I cant manage to store a cookie in my pc so that i wont have to log on every time i visit the forum.
Any hints ?

You can go into Tools --> Internet Options --> Privacy and lower the privacy-settings there to accept cookies. You could also be using some kind of firewall software such as ZoneAlarm that stops cookies. Disable the firewall from stopping cookies.
But for this forum, I think that there's no cookies stored. Once you close your browser, your user-name and password are discarded. I think that it's pretty good, for security and privacy reasons.

It does store a cookie and it kindly tells you that it does!

Store my username in a cookie for 1 year.: Yes No
My problem is that it doesnt and IE6 doesnt display the status bar red icon for a blocked cookie and NO I dont want to accept cookies from ALL sites !

I too love choco cookies ! Plain Choco Cookies ! No nuts.
But my pc (ie6 that is) hates our tasty esato cookies.
