I think I've posted to most of the thread Dave linked to, but for the record: 90 minutes pumping music from the PC continuously is generally not a problem for me. sounds like your battery is bad... |

My battery life's about the same as previous poster's.
One thing I noticed tho, is that battery life is signicantly shorter when you're out with it in winter time. -10 celsius and so...
Also I'd like to say that voice dialing in a noisy environment is great. I can go more than 120km/h in my '86 Ford Orion and still have no problems voice dialling - that's SOME background noise...

mobile-burn or some other website tested the HBH-600 and found out that it doesn't transfer when there's no information to transfer, so it can save power. So, it can transmit about 2h of continuos music, but 4h of speech, cause you make pauses thus don't generate info all the time.

Last year I was in the army, we had -15C and we lived in tents, in the forest for about a week. In february, which is the coldest month here in Estonia, we have had down to -30C or so, the record was -43,5°C 17. jan 1940.a, it was Estonia's first winter under soviet rule, those f****g communist bastards...

When taking mine HBH-600 from charging, "talk-time" are about 1 hour. Standby time are - when no calls - up to 4 hours. And that "sucks"!
SilverCrest has a Bluetooth-headset that has 4 hours talk-time and up to 120 hours standby!
AND -- the price on HBH-600 are nearly 5 times higher than SilverCrest!

It takes about 40 minutes to charge my HBH-600 from empty red to full green.
But will something "harm" happends with the battery if i don't take it "off" when full-charged?
(I have obviously a little brain - 'cause i sometimes forget to take the charger off when i go to bed....)

to: mathios and rufo,
I don't know what you have done with your HBH-600 but mine has much longer talk and standby times, even with a T630 (a SE technician told me that with K700 a bluetooth communication protocol between phone and handsfree is much more power-efficient compared to T610/T630).
I charge my HBH-600 regularly, once a week to avoid unpleasant surprises. Average use per week is: at least 30h standby and 2-3h talk. It would last longer but I like to be certain that it could last a long call at any given time.
to rufo:
I leave my HBH-600 to charge overnight probably every other time. It doesn't damage the battery - modern batteries have protective measures against overcharging. |
