New 1200 mAh battery and K700i |

Disapointed as I have been about the battery capacity of the K700i, I bought an 1100 mAh battery last year. Unfortunately it didn't deliver as much as I expected. Using the latest firmware (R2AE033) it got me 10-25 percent more capacity, but I still had to charge it every second day.
A couple of weeks ago I found an advertisement for a 1200 mAh battery and decided to try it. Lately I've been stress testing it since I noticed how hard it was draining the battery. I pay a flat rate when making phone calls, so testing its capacity was pretty cheap.
Original 700 mAh battery:
Using a Bluetooth headset, I get 2 hours and 10 minutes straight talk time with the old and original 700 mAh battery that is delivered out of the box when buying a K700i that runs the latest firmware. Besides the talk time I also get 30 minutes of radio, 30 minutes of games and 10 sms messages. Eventually I first sent the 10 sms messages, played games for 30 minutes and then I listened to the radio for another 30 minutes. After that I called my other phone using the Bluetooth headset connected to see how long it would last - that's how I got the 2 hours and 10 minutes before the battery died.
1200 mAh battery:
The 1200 mAh battery was tested the same way: 10 sms messages was sent, I spent 30 minutes playing games and then I listened to the radio for another 30 minutes. After that I did the same procedure to find out how long it would last before the battery was empty. I called my other phone with the Bluetooth headset connected. This battery lasted for 3 hours and 57 minutes. I was well surprised and very happy with the result! I now have found a battery that deliver what I need - 3 days and 2 nights without charging the battery (in my case). And that's with a Bluetooth headset connected.
The battery is recognized as an original and charges as fast as the one delivered out of the box. The build quality of the battery seems as good and solid as the original. I highly recommend it for those who seek a better solution than what is delivered out of the K700i box!
Another great thing about this battery compared to the original 700 mAh is that it fixes the annoying "cracking" sound from the battery cover. The battery fits better than the original so there is no empty space between the cover and the battery - perfect! Also, the battery weights a little less than the original!
The battery can be found here.

Sounds really good, I think I might invest in it, although, I am happy with my K as it is, and with lots of new SE's coming out very soon, I think I am going to wait for those!
Good find tho, and I might still invest in one!
Cheers, Chazzer -

I guess the 100 mah difference will not do much or will not be that noticeable, unless if it has a 1500 mah capacity.

Yup, the difference between 700mAh and 1200mAh is very significant. I'm actually interested on how they were able to fit that much capacity into a small package and how they made it slightly lighter. New technology perhaps?

It has the same voltage so it should deliver the same power and should be safe, just higher charge storage capacity.

Yes, they do international shipping. The site is in German, but they will help you in English if you send them e-mail. |

But by the look of the picture, its not an official and on website it says any battery other than the one supplied will damage the phone |
