S700 R3K Voice Dialling |

Hi,
I have a S700 voda uk branded phone. I unbranded and upgraded to R3k using totalmultiserver. It appeared to have gone well. Everything works except voice dialling, voice answering, in fact any voice activated control. When I try to record a voice for dialling, I get the wait for tone message and I get the tone but straight after the tone the screen reports "Sorry, nothing heard" even though there is sound for it to record.
I did not try the voice dialling before the upgrade so don't know whether it is a problem with the phone or this particular firmware. I tried reflashing using setool and I get the same result.
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with this firmware or whether there is something wrong with my phone.

The truth is that the phone is not the best for such calls.
Try to record the names from handsfree and not direct to the phone, in a silent place. It's the best you can do |

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. Have tried to record voice commands using the handsfree but to no avail. If anyone has this firmware, I'd like to know how if it exhibits this same behaviour or if there is something wrong with the phone.

i have the same problem, and i doubt its from the firmware,
cuz i have the same problem since i bought
i sent 2 months ago mail to SE, but they only replied
to contact the agent , which i couldnt do that yet
but i hope to do that today or after, cuz its annoying
to pay that amount of money on something doesnt
work properly...
more thing u to check , after failing to record the voice tag
check if u can play back the sound, cuz i can't
i have to restrat the mobile..

Just tried what you described and I have the same problem too. Rubbish isn't it? Why do you think it isn't the firmware? Which version are you running? |
