Is there any way to save games and applications to the Memory Stick Duo on my Sony Ericsson Z1010?

To date, I've had to save all of my games and applications to the phone, severelly limiting the number of games & applications that can be installed at any one time, as well as leaving me with virtually no memory on the phone!

you can't save games on your memorystick.
It's to prevent people from copying the games and give to eachother. Too bad....

It's pointless even having games & applications on the Z1010 in that case; 2MB is simply not enough for more than a handful of games and applications...

Any idea how much memory the Z1010's successor, the V800/Z800i, has built-in and if the same limitation applies?

I'm not sure if the z1010 works as the v800, but I put my games and applications on the memory stick. From there i can install them and the phone runs them from the memorystick. It just adds like a shortcut in the games or applications folder. The shortcut only takes about 2kb in size on the phone memory.

Copy games or pllications to this folder on the memorystick
*:\MSSEMC\Media files\other

Go to my phone and then other in the phone menu. From there you can choose to install or copy to phone memory.

The Z1010 has about 4 MB mem in it.

How do you put games on your MSD? Do you transfere them from your comp? Because when I download them from the wap they are automatically installed on the phone.

They must be transfered from your computer to the memory stick. I do so via the USB cable included when I bought the phone.

I don't have a computer, which makes it virtually impossible to copy them to or install them to the Memory Stick Duo...

How much memory does the V800/Z800i have built-in and does it natively allow games & applications to be installed on the Memory Stick Duo/Memory Stick Pro Duo?

7 meg would probably be enough for ME 'cause I'm not a big gamer and I've got a Pocket PC for my productive needs, but I could see it being a problem for the masses...
