At least one important difference between K750 and W800 |

Hi all,
I was just reading the ESATO preview on W800 & K750, where the conclusion is:
" Finally I must admit that I can't see much difference between the W800i Walkman and the K750i."
One thing that is obviously different, is that the W800 has (I assume) a "flight mode" i.e. where the phone is turned off, leaving the W800 operating simply as a "normal" MP3 player.
The K750 does not seem to have this ability.
In the W800 press release: "it will play for 15 hours’ if the phone is switched on, or up to 30 hours if it isn’t."
There is no text in the press release for the K750.
So one way to look at the difference is:
W800 = MP3 player with built in phone.
K750 = Phone with built in MP3 player.
I freely admit, the difference is pretty small .
I wonder what airlines will say when people start using their W800 MP3 player on flights ?
The reaction to the P910 in flight mode has been mixed from what I hear (some positivie, some negative).
Opinions ?

It is important!
Flight mode is essential to aid its use as a true mp3 player where-ever u go.

Although new planes will allow the use of phones during flight.

perhaps it would be a good idea for press people (or whoever would deal with this) to speak to the airlines and inform them of this option to ensure there is no confusion (ignorance) to this when people want to use the device in flight mode ?

How come all of you are overlooking the battery life? 15hrs and 30hrs battery performance of the w800 will push it as a proper music player unlike other phones where if you get absorbed in music too much you may just end up missing your calls coz of battery dying on you at the wrong time. |
