I still think SE needs something lower end than the K750 in the candybar form factor. All we're hearing about is high-end rumors. I personally think my next phone will not be any less than the W550 and maybe even go as far as a P950. My main concer is that SE has these gaps in the lineup and I'm finding it a hard task to recomend a SE with the right mix of price/features. With the W550 coming soon te category is somewhat covered but a candybar is still needed. And talk about a 128x160 screen shouldn't exist, Motorola is putting 176x220 screens in low-end phones. I'm waiting.

The K500i (F500i/K508i) is not available anymore for several month, at least in Hungary. The reason is the price fall of K700i. Anyway this kind of price fall is really usual in SonyEricsson's line: when the successor of K750i (so called K800i) will arrive the price of K750i will fall quickly down to the current level of the K700i what will dissappear. Beacuse of this I don't know when and how will give us a new phone somewhere between the low-end K300i and the K750i. Maybe there will be a K5xx phone announced shortly, or the cheaper-and-cheaper K750i will be there instead.. |

I'm loosing hope. K750 didn't get a lower-end version and its already has two derivatives, I'll settle with a candybar w550 even. And to make it worse the K750 will eventually be dicontinued for the W810 and W830. Letting the K750 fill mid range would be fine with me but just seems impossible.

"I just received some information on a new Walkman handset codenamed Carolina, which should have a W7xx designation when released. Carolina is basically a watered down W800 with a fixed focus 2MP camera (no auto focus); there should be a 256 Mb stick shipped with it, but this could be upgraded to 512 Mb. The other features should be the same. Carolina looks similar to the W800/810, but it will be titanium." |

There is no way that bringing out a K550i would make any sense everyone. It's features would me on a level with k700, may be with a 1.3 cam. There is no point developing one at this point when an upgrade to the k750 is expected within the next quater...
If a k550 was going to be released, it would have been..long ago...
