Some of you may already subsribe to this popular mobile magazine in UK, there was an interesting comparision of the P900 and P910 and according to their tests, there was very little difference. The review was 2 page long but here are some of thier key highlights:
Performance
P900: 10/10
P910:10/10
Features
P900:10/10
P910:10/10
Call quality:
P900: 10/10
P910: 10/10
Value:
P900: 8/10
P910: 7/10
Overall:
P900: 94%
P910:94%
So, hardly any difference between the 2 except that P910 is a bit more expensive and obviously supports memory stick duo.
I was astonished to read that call quality was 10/10 considering that SE has recieved a lot of critism about it poor reception but call quality was voted the best compared with other phones like Nokia and motorola.
94% rating for both P900 nad P910 was the highest of the lot compared to other mobile phones.

True but I think P900 looks much better then P910
The keypad on P900 is far much superior IMO and I like its looks overall |

As someone who has used both (and the P800) extensively, my opinion is that the P910i is superior or equal in every respect. Obviously design is subjective, but the 910i seems to have much better build quality and looks better too IMHO. No software problems and crashing that I had with the 900!

Build quality...well I think both are good but I think P900 looks a touch more solid.
I havent had any problems with the software on P900.
I think all phones will have some software problems at some point but as long as you have the latest firmware, you should be ok.
Having more internal memory doesnt make a phone better then a phone that has less internal memory.
P900 has a far superior battery performance then P910 but again it wouldnt necessarily make it a better phone.

I guess looks are entirely a matter of opinion.
Same product with more internal mem is surely a better product (given that it has practical benefits, like the ability to run more great UIQ apps!)
Agreed on battery performance, though I now use alot more GPRS than I used to, and the new Bluetooth setup means it's a better connection but is bound to drain the battery more (no Auto mode).
Real plus point is Pro Duo support, and the screen for me. The QWERTY keyboard is pretty much useless to me - can't be bothered!

So if you have almost two identical phones why change it, as I do belive the qwerty key pad lets down the p910.
but in all it looks more stylish than the p900. |

the P910 keyboard is so so small. I cant type on those small letters. I think you need to use a sytlus to press those.

I have had P800, P900 and now I am using P910. I have to say that P910 is a bit slower in reading sms, email, mms and so on. Everytime you click on one sms the "busy" sign pops up. P900 was faster on that issue.
Do you guys agree? |

For all of you who remember the Sinclair family of computers, the way I see it is like this:
the P800 is like the ZX81, innovative, but not yet fully formed and leaving much to be desired.
the P900 is like the Spectrum, coming of age, yet still fun and exciting.
the P910 is a like the Spectrum +, superior in many ways, but losing some of that fun, classic cult status. Its the older brother, a little staid and serious. |

Well said. IMHO the P900 looks better. Slightly more well rounded than the P910.

Evidently...The which/what samplers haven't spent more than a few minutes for scrutiny then.Having used both phones,i can safely say the 910 is FAR superior in terms of stability.Used to get pig sick of occasional freezes and 'kernel execution reason number bla, bla, bla's with the 900.These glitches are very rare with the 910.I also admire the shiny appearance and increased external capacity. The 900 is in between the 800 and the 910....The 800 is virtually obsolete and ugly,on the other hand, the 910 is truly wonderful.

Lets not forget the major advantage that the P910 keypad has over the P900, it doesn't break the phone housing. Everyone can complain as much as they want about how useful the keyboard on the back is, but I use it now and then and at least it isn't breaking my phone...
Plus the P910 is available in more localizations than the P900. |

er think that the keyboard is rather small for convenience use tho i have small fingers but if you want to type properly and seamlessly you should download a palm wireless driver and bought the foldable keyboard. perfect combination during classes and meetings
I think yeah the flip is better on the p900 but i prefer to live without one
..one more thing, ive been using the p910 for five month and it is stable as hell (compared to my previous P800), the extra ram real help i guess, but bottom line, its a cute p800 with a bigger memory, slightly better OS, and better screen wrapped in armani suit
hope the next P will have more bang for the bucks.. |
