Difference K750 W800? |

What is really the difference between the K750 and the W800?
The only real difference that I can see is that the K750 comes with a 64 MB Memory Stick and the W800 with a 512 MB one. And of course that the K750 comes Q2 and we will have to wait until after summer for the W800.
The press releases say different things about the K750 and the W800; for instance there is no mentioning about whether the K750 can handle AAC, if it has flight mode and how long the battery lasts. However, there is no explicit mentioning that the K750 _cannot_ do these things.
Maybe the only difference is that SE want prices on 512 MB memory cards to drop before releasing the W800?

According to www.mobil.se will K750 not support flight mode --- only W800 will have that functionality. That's too bad... Maybe the AAC codec is also specific to the W800? |

It looks to me as if they have made the W800 and K750 the same phones with different software. They even look alike, apart from the colours.

The only difference is that W800 has a dedicated player button, music mode (turns of the phone part to preserve battery) and the media player.
In all other parts they are same. K750 released in Q2 and W800 in Q3.
W800:
- ”Mobile Walkman”-button connected to the media player.
- Music mode (same as flight mode).
- Different media player (probably better) than K750.
- Possibility to connect to external equipment such as hi-fi or car stereo.
K750:
- Photo and Vido DJ (not sure W800 has this).

hope the k750i is on O2 in June cos that's when my contract finishes. But knowing O2 they will probably make me pay an enormous amount of money to upgrade from my k700i!! :-[

W800 does not have MS Duo PRO support, so it has only up to 521MB Memory, whereas K750 has up to 2GB with PRO, this is what I read in the internet of course, I'm not 100% sure about its validity

A guy at Swedish magazine Mobil has already played with W800 and he has confirmed the limit is 2 GB (the largest MS Duo Pro available). Not 512 as it has been said earlier (besid MS Duo is limited to 128 MB).

Choices choices ! am assuming the media player on the w800 will be better enabling paylists perhaps ?
I use my 128meg mp3 player everyday. The k750 offering 2gig MS Duo Pro will be great but perhaps for me the w800 with it's enhanced media funtions same mem expantion capabilities, a larger duo pro supplied with it and flight mode may well swing it for me.
Haven't had a chance to read everything yet, so can someone tell me if the camera specs/options like red eye reduction, zoom, autofocus the same ?

Now all you SE Biased nokia haters can shut the hell up, cause SE did the same thing, it only improved minor features, and it takes them AGES to release phones.
But I still love them more than Nokia. Id never use a nokia. |

Autofocus, zoom and active lens cover is the same. Red eye reduction I don't know. I would guess K750 have more camera settings than W800 since its advertised as an imaging phone. |

I suppose we will have to wait for full blown reviews to be sure. If the imaging options on the K750 have the edge then it may well be a difficult choice.
So it could well be, quite simply imaging versus media playback ?
Nice to have to choice tho

W800 will support Mem stick pro duo, it will come in standard package with 512MB MSPD, quality stereo headset and different software. Basically, K 750 and W 800 are the same. real difference is the walkman software. They will have functions as iPod and will support MP3, Atrac and several more licenced formats, I don't know about AAC, it would be nice.
And, will have new connector for faster connection with PC, wihich means, no compatible accessories. CD with the phone will be simmilar to iTunes for easy song management, cd rip..... |
