@MadBob

you use 3ivx too right?Why isn't there any video when i encode it as 3ivx on smartmovie?

I have the k-lite codec pack,and when i encode a movie in 3ivx it has only sound both in pc and the mobile,why's that?

Also is 3ivx newer than xvid?Does it have anything to do with divx 3?

Do you know what's wrong with loading the vcf settings in my case?

No.

Also about your method,why should i uncompress video and sound?Not only it will take long but i will also create a huge file in my hard drive right?

If you're dealing with non native mpeg formats, like quicktime and realmedia, its best to uncompress a video file before encoding it as it'll be easier to work with and smartmovie will render it out easier with less chances of tearing etc.

Now about uncompressing all i do is selecting no compressing in video and audio in vdubmod and then save as avi right?

In the 'Compression...' pop up select uncompressed.

Also why did you choose 3ivx?

I just like its options, the technology and its results.

I tried it but i didn't have video neither on my pc nor in the mobile.I have the k-lite codecs of course installed.

Thats odd, try reinstalling it and using the default settings. Failing that try using the FFDshow codecs.

And you also say to use 15-25 kbps and 112bitrate.How can i do that?where do i choose to set the 15-25?kbps and bitrate ain't the same thing?

These options are in the actual 3ivx's codec settings itself, which are should be found where ever you can choose 3ivx.

I use smartmovie for all of my conversions but the question I is during an action sequence or fast pan it becomes choppy and get large square pixals. Any thoughts to resolve this.

Try removing 'noise' & 'crop' edges using Tmpeg. ?Otherwise, its a cake as I use Nandub (VirtualDub clone) & BladeEnc Audio Codec (the best I know) for initial remastering. #
All Video Converter- is good for begginerz
