Hi all, new to this so hope I havent made a ridiculous faux pax already!! Anyways, Happy Thursday evening all!
I've been offered an upgrade by Vodafone. I currently have a Nokia 7210 which wont sync with my Mac at all - aside from bluetoothing MP3s and Pics its not much cop.
I'm looking at either the S700i or the Sharp 902. Has anyone any experience of Syncing these with my Mac - I'm running OSX. What software will I require. Can I do it all by bluetooth? Will all the functionality work eg. exporting address and tel numbers from my Mac to my phone (whichever one I choose!).
All you tips would be appreciated as I really want to get this sorted soon and am fed up of not having a conclusive back up of all my contacts. |

The Sony Ericsson S700i is not currently officially supported by iSync, and you cannot use certain functions such as send SMS in Address book.
There is luckily a patch to sort it out, you can download it for free from here

There are full instructions included and it works a treat apparently (I've not tested it as I don't have an S700i).
Also, read this post:

Hope thats helpful.
The S700i will be supported by Apple soon, although no-one is sure exactly when.
You can also use Sallings Remote Basics for remote controlling your Mac from the phone:

Finally the next link has some useful info too:

This is REALLY usefull information - thanks ever so much. It looks as though I'm settled on the S700i - unless anyone out there thinks that the Sharp 2meg pixel phone can also be connected to a Mac?? |
