Delete all pairings if you have already tried to get it to work.
Open iSync, and leave it running in the background.
From the phone, start the pairing. When asked for a "Passkey" don't use "0000", try "1234". Then re-enter the code when the Mac asks you for it.
After it pairs with the Mac, a window should open to ask you if you want to Sync Address, Contacts or Internet. Check them all.
Then all of a sudden, the K700i icon will pop up on the iSync list.
You should be able to iSync.
Here is even more of a strange part. If you turn off BT on the phone, then close iSync and reopen it. The K700i icon is no longer listed. To get it to iSync another time. Make sure BT is on, on the phone. Open iSync and wait a few seconds. It will locate the K700i and the icon pops up and your good to go again.
Hope this helps anyone else. I spent all morning trying to figure this out and I'm glad it works or I'd be mad I just got this phone with no iSync use.

Hate to tell you this dude, but the k700 has been officially supported in iSync since the release of version 1.5. Been iSyncing long before this as well, but thanks for hanging in there and posting.

Yeah, have a look at this post from way back in June 2004, long before iSync 1.5 officially added support:

Listen guys. I know iSync 1.5 supports the K700i but I can't get my address book to sync with my K700i whatever I do. Here's the deal:
  • OSX.3.8 (same problem with all earlier versions of Panther), iSync 1.5 (v139), Address Book 3.1.2 (v321)
  • Phone and Powerbook pair nicely - other services work fine.
  • iSync sees K700i and shows it in device list
  • iSync also sees Address Book and allows me to choose group (subset of addresses) to sync
  • Sync apparently starts OK and takes several minutes to complete (couple of hundred addresses) but, once it's done, checking the phone's address book shows no addresses at all. Empty.
So the sync just isn't happening. I've tried deleting pairings and preferences files (for iSync, Address Book and Bluethooth), tried resetting phone, tried making pairing from the phone and the Powerbook. This is obviously different from the problem I've seen mentioned here and elsewhere in that I can make the pairing OK, just not complete the sync. Any ideas?

Do you have access to another Mac that you can try it on, just to determine whether it is a phone or Mac problem?

If it doesn't work on another Mac try updating the phones firmware. If it does work on another Mac then you may need to completely re-install your Mac as it would point to a software problem.

Well, I got my spanking new K700i yesterday and I have three - 3 - Macs all running latest software (ALL of it). And, dudes, forget whatever you have read about iSync 1.5 supporting the K700i. It doesn't. The trick described is the only way to get iSync to recognize the K700i.
So there.

Cheers,

It might not work with YOUR k700i. My k700i, s700i, z1010, and soon to be v800 will all sync just fine. The problem might be on YOUR end. The k700i is supported by Mac OS X. Bottom line.

I have a S700i and I could add it to iSync with a guide from macosxhints.

The only thing is that ther is no S700 icon on iSync, K700 though.

1 day to Tiger. Hopefully SyncML will fix all of these problems.

For all those still on Panther, the only way to reliably iSync the K700i is to initiate pairing FROM the phone TO the computer. The other way round just doesn't seem to work. I've tried this several times with mine (and 10.3.9 on a laptop) and my partner's (same setup) and it works every time. At the end of it the K700 icon appears in iSync and all works as planned. Make sure you delete any pairing already made on the Mac (System Preferences/Bluetooth/Devices) to avoid an problems.
