Hmm... this just gave me an idea! I had a T28 during its heydays and remember how I enjoyed it (except the slowness....) for its size and weight.
I remember buying one then and found the original battery so slim that I thought it wouldnt last a day so I got a spare (the biggest of the three) together with the phone purchase only to realize I ended up having a spare battery that I never needed to use!
The T28 would sure make for a good second phone. Now I dont need to worry much about its slowness as where I am now, text messaging isnt much of a use. |

@tigas
I donīt think the T39 is that slow.. at least not with the latest fw. Granted, itīs not a Nokia (of the same age, the S60 ones arenīt impressing me)

No, its not a t39, active flip needed, colour screen, same design, and preferably the functions of a P910. Thats whats needed!! The T28, I think, is an excellent design and could sell very well in todays market if it was updated but kept the style. Look at the case SE supplied, how cool was that? The only drawback I think is the aerial, but I actually came to quite like it after a year!LOL! Could get rid of it though if relaunched!!

Well the Z700 could have been an acceptable heir too...
But it was never comercialized...

the joy should be used even the flip is closed, that would be nice. and of course the t68 joy or t65 ( maybe z1010 joy-pad ) cos the t6xx series joy is painfull at longer usage...

I adored the T39... Was the best phone of it's time.
It was nice n' small. Powerful with it's bluetooth and voice control and it lasted a week before needing another charge.
It's true that phones were made to a better quality in those days. But they were also heavier.
I still grumble at my P900's sqeaky keypad and piss poor battery life.

numero6, good choice! I used a T28s for two years. Replaced the mike cable inside the flip hinge once, but the flip itself never died. Shortly before i stopped using it, I had upgraded the case to a shiny new blue case, and gave the phone to a friend who used it for another 6 months.
It hasn't been used now in about a year, and it no longer boots up
It's probably just the batt...
I'll keep it anyway, just like I'll keep my K700i for years after I've moved on to better things! I just can't get rid of my babies...
