Well its like the 1st gen iPod being more popular, its retro!
and finally, retro doesnt mean out of style, nor large phones
finally we can own a SMALL and LOVELY retro phone!

Thanks to all of you for the comentaries !
Vanquish, as you mentioned the iPod, an idea came to my brain : at the beginning of iPod era, the "happy fews" that had one started to do "ipodjacking" : when they saw in the street another guy with white earbuds they came by and plug their own earphones in the other one's iPod. Just to listen a while what he was listening...
Well I think we should do something like that : when you see a guy with a /// phone, let's say t39, t28 o r520 and so on, show him your own Ericsson beauty and share the pleasure !
Apple Ericsson would have been better ! T28 WORLD and... T39 again !!! |

i got a new t28 about 3 months ago for £30, its perfect as a 'pub phone' for those nights you dont want to go out & trash your p900!
(the slow menus and no T9 do get on your nerves though )
other than that its a top looking retro phone, when i started using it loads of friends did that pub thing "ooooohh got a new phone have we?" and picked it up and played with it for a few minutes before realizing its actually really old but IMO still one hell of a looker, i really want SE to make an update of the t28, same size with the flip but if it had up to date menus & a colour screen it would kick ass!

@numero6: I understand you perfectly! I am at the point of taking a similar decision. Abandon my K700i for the T39m. i am so bored of all these useless camera and colour display stuff, I want a nice beautiful small pure phone. I believe that the T39 and the T28 are two of the most beautiful phones ever produced

@alkis
Think you are most def right!! All the phones these days have things on them most people dont use! U want a camera with decent pics? Buy a proper digi camera! You want to listen to music? Buy an iPod or similar!! At least the old phones did what they were meant to! No one seems to think that consumers want a tiny slim phone anymore! Wheres the replacement for the T28 SE??? Come on, get your act together, as much as I love my p910, its TOO big!!! |

I used to have a t28 it was so slim and so classy with the active flip that was cool a bit flimsy but cool thinking about buying an old t39 going for 30 in a shop near me

As much as I agree that the new phones now are just getting clunkier and clunkier (even Nokia's attempt at a slim phone with that dumb stick of theirs) ... I do NOT want to go back to the slow T28 menu.
And even though the T39 and T28 look very similar...somehow the T28 still looks classier. It's also slimmer. Plus it has the active flip.
I do want SE to make something like the T28, with the features on the T39 (or T68 if they can cram it all in the same shell)

I remember seeing sony advert the same time as the t68i came out it was for a camcorder which used bluetooth via a t39 but i swear it said sony ericsson on it and it was the same white colour as the t68i if only they had released it

A T28, with bigger screen and faster menu! (and better standby) Thats what we want! We should start lobbying SE. Think it would work??

That's a T39, isn't it?

I wouldn't call a T39m 'fast'... One thing /// and never appreciated is the importance of not feeling that the telephone is lagging and that we're waiting for it to stop thinking (grrrr...)
