@Cell Phone Votary > Nice ! The T28 is like half a Z600 in size, your pockets must be happy ! As Boba said the charger I have is the CDT-10, but there are some others too, and I thonk they are all compatibles.
@JN > lol ! To say the truth I don't care much about BT as my computer doesn't have BT...

You T28 (& T39) owners I need you help !
I dropped my T28 and now the vibrator doesn't work. I opened the phone (quite easy) but I couldn't identificate what is the vibrator. I've searched on Esato too but couldn't find a good explanation or a pic.
Anyone can explain me where it is ? If I have to take apart the main board I won't be able to see it because I don't have the appropriate screwdriver...
On the picture I can see the speaker, the ringtone thing (I guess) but nothing else...

The vibra is at the top of the fone, rather bring it in service, hard to get a new one if sg goes wrong

Numero6,
I found 2 of the CDT-10 desktop chargers on E-bay, I bought one for $3.25 and the other for $ .99 cents, both new in package. I have gone off the deep end with these old Ericsson phones. I am looking for a T 39, but they seem a little harder to find.
I noticed online that there are what look like OEM cases for T 28’s available in colors. Are these actual Ericsson cases or just someone in the after market making ill-fitting knock offs? And how easy/hard is it to change out the insides of a T 28?

@Cell Phome Votary > These are very good prices ! I guess prices are lower in USA now, specially with the euro getting to the sky...
About the covers on Ebay I don't know if they are genuines ones or not. Taking the cover apart isn't very difficult on the T28, I did it the other day for the first time, but I didn't dismantle the flip, maybe it's a bit more complicated.

Indeed, the flip is for experts, pushing and pulling in the same time is the secret.

Don't worry JN, I certainly will not look for a T68i ! As I have already said this phone was a bad experience for me and I won't trade it against a T28, even without vibracall...
If YOU like it keep it but don't try to change MY taste ...

I just received my T 28 today, charged it up and am in the process of checking it out. I am very impressed with the size and design of the phone, considering that this is a 5 (?) year old design, it was ahead of its time. The display is better than I thought it would be, the text is quite large, only requiring a little more scrolling.
The one thing that I have not figured out is: how do I copy my contact entries from the SIM card to phones internal Address book? I have heard that if you do that, the address book will respond a little faster than reading from the SIM card. Is there a way to have the phone then pull from the internal address book by default? |

Congratulations ! Hope you enjoy it...
About the agenda and the SIM : if the phone's agenda is empty it should ask you automatically if you want to copy data from the SIMcard.

Think you should use sim contacts together with phone contacts. That's the way the old phones do.

I had in order, a T10, T18 then a T28 and then moved on to a Nokia 8850 (excellent) Nokia 6610 (crap), Moto V600 (ok) and finally got back to SE with a P910i, which incidentally has probably had more problems than all the others put together. However after deciding that I needed a small phone (p910 somewhat large) I looked around and what did I find? NOTHING new that would do the job so off I went to eBay and bought a T28, am SO happy again! Why cant they make phones like that now? All it needs is a colour screen and faster menu and I'm sure they would shift tons of them! |

Hi everyone
Went to the ofice today and took a picture of my boss's Z600 with my T28 next to him. Well as you can say "progress" is not so obvious !
Dark classy design vs. "big mac" shiny thing, I know what I prefer...
PD : By the way, the Z600 has already marks on its angles after only 8 months of use...
