Hiya Guys,

Basically I have an Orange Branded K700i. I have a bluetooth dongle to do all my normal files but at the moment my firmware is R2C (2nd version released) and looking to upgrade it either via SESU or SETool etc.

Firstly, if I was to do this would I lose any branding at all on my phone as I dont wish to void my warenty and secondly what do I need. The T28 Service Cable or the DSS-25.

Just looking what I need before I do anything and also if its safe to do it without losing the warenty.

If you use SE Tool, theoretically, you lose your warranty. If you use the SEUS, you will not lose your warranty. To use the SEUS, you'll need a DSS-25.

I hope this helps.

Right thats cool.

Is the DSS-25 compatiable with programs such as Davinci, SETool and Total Multiserver as well as SESU. Also, is SESU working properly with Orange phones yet?

Thanks,

The DSS-25 is compatible with DaVinci, but not SE Tool or Multiserver (I think). For the latter 2, you'll need a T28 service cable.

SEUS is working properly for most Orange users! For the rest, I've informed Sony Ericsson, and they finally today asked me for my software information, so they should be doing something about it!

If you don't want to lose your warranty, the SEUS is by far the best option.
