A newbie-member, VGA is having some problems UPLOADING his images taken with his Nokia 6265 here (as some of US have been experiencing as well at times - ME included ).

I'll just make a follow-up as with the description of his images . . .

Taken in the House:

Taken at the Dentist's Clinic: (1600x1200 in size)

* The way I am seeing those images - vga, it looks like a MegaPixel Nokia camfone - 1 or 2 MP perhaps

Thanks a lot Jojo, you have helped me post four images, two in the VGA format and two in the 1600x1200 one.

I have tried twice to upload my images and I have failed, for reasons which are beyond my control.

Yes, I may be the newest and oldest member of this forum. I was born in Hong Kong on the 4th. of October 1941. Am I really the "newest and oldest member" ?!

Here I go, I will try for the 3rd. time to post a "light" VGA (640x480) photo which was taken by my NOKIA 6265 yesterday. You can see the thumb of my left hand, I pressed the shutter of my NOKIA and reproduced another VGA generated photo which was taken with my Panasonic DVD-RAM Camcorder two years ago! Both images were VGA ones! The prints in my small album were 5x7" enlargements.

I have my fingers crossed!

Oops! I made a mistake, I was born in 1931 and not ten years later!

BTW, where are my "attached" photos? I saw them downloaded, and.....

I receive a message:

Link to the picture by adding this string to your post:

Jojo, could you guide me in this issue? What else do I have to do besides uploading the photos? Do I also have "to add this string to my post" ?

Couldn't this be done automatically?

I am quite 'raw' in this matter, please show me the way towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

@vga - You are very much welcome dude . . . just PM me again, if you'll be encountering the same problem. I guess you were uploading those images in Esato's NEW feature: Photo Phone Section . . . it's a BIT difficult really posting there . . .

@burger - For the record . . . mwright WAS the oldest member of Esato . . . (basing it on his GREY hair . . . ), but as I have said, he does NOT frequent the site anymore [addsig]

Jojo,

Thanks for the compliments, I have already sent you a direct e-mail to your alternative address, with two new images which were taken at 1600x1200.

If you have some spare time tomorrow, please post them for me. You can use my captions and post your comments on the images.

I have also sent a cc. e-mail to the "Webmaster" . Perhaps he could eventually programme Esato's "IT" system to be able to regognize that my digital photos were taken with a NOKIA 6254.

I will be sending a message (with photo) directly to your e-mail address, you may then send it to Esato's webmaster, showing that you had received an electronic image from my mobile phone camera. I will send you a 'vertical' shot of the same sunset which I mailed you last night.

My server in Brazil is "VIVO" and my mobile phone number is:

55.22.9977-1763 [Cabo Frio - Rio - BRAZIL]

Best regards.

Armando - November 26, 2006 09:50 a.m.

P.S. I will try to attach a photo to this e-mail [A.R.]

@vga - Sir, I will try my very BEST to have this page the WAY you WANT it to be

Here it is:

Images taken from a Nokia 6265 Camera-Phone !

Image 1 :

CAPTION: \"Veteran fine arts photographer Osmar Peçanha holds a 30x40 cm. colour enlargement of a photo which he had taken on the 15th. of August, 2006. On the 6th. of October of the same year, he gave me his work as a gift. When he showed me the beautifully framed photographic print, I asked him to pose with it for my 'new' NOKIA phone camera, set at: (1600x1200). It was almost evening when he held the print and posed with it, near the blue colonial window of a riverside restaurant \"Pôr do Sol\" (Sunset). There is a third dimensional quality in this informal portrait. I was the one, near the boat photographing the same sunset when Osmar's SONY camera captured me at work. \"

CAPTION: \"I held my phone camera steadily and framed the small boat near me, with a beautiful background of the mangroves on the opposite banks of the Săo Joăo river . You can see the contrast of the blue sky, clouds and also the warm light which was cast by the glowing rays of the sun which had just set. You can also see the outline of an extinct volcano (Săo Joăo) in the background. As I was taking this scene, my photographer friend Osmar snapped a picture of me with his digital SONY camera. You can see two different images of the same sunset, one by Osmar and the other which was taken by me, with my NOKIA 6265 set at 1600x1200 , on the 15th. of August, 2006\".

Jojo,

Thanks a lot, you did a very good job, your last post helped me display what my NOKIA 6265 could do.

To learn more about the 6265 model, here is some information. The phone camera was launched in the 3rd. quarter of 2005 in Asia and it was being produced in Manaus, Brazil early this year. I bought it in April 2006. Here is the link which describes the fearures of my mobile phone camera:

P.S. I love using the VGA (640x480) format, I'll post more next week.

V E R Y S T R A N G E !

I searched for the issue "6265" by using Esato's Search Engine on this page (on the left hand column).

Under these words:

Search Esato

DIGIT in the box/small window:

"6265"

AND CLICK on Search.

There are two hits, scroll down the NOKIA list and you'll find my "6265"

Although it has an Esato URL, the news article wasn't available! WHY?

Please try again:

http://www.esato.com/news/article.php/id=565

Very strange indeed, the Esato's Search Engine worked very well, but Esato's indicated URL did not display the page I was looking for.

Armando Rozário - Cabo Frio - 27th. of November, 2006 01:00 A.M.

P.S. Perhaps Esato's Webmaster could explain why the URL didn't function!
