It probably was an infected phone sending you the virus.
That's why the battery of an infected phone doesn't last very long because the virus is constantly using it's bluetooth. It's sending out a copy of itself to all the phones (within range) with bluetooth on and set on discoverable.
Imagine the horror if Nokia's possess long range bluetooth. 100m away and you are still getting that irritating 'confirmation message'.

So is there anyway to protect our phones from the virus, or does it not harm regular phones... like my Z1010 and T68i?

Currently, only phones with symbian OS are targeted by virus makers.
So, if you don't have a P series in your pocket, nothing will happen even if you accept the file(s) being sent to you by an infected phone.
So far, only Nokia's have been infected by the small crop of phone viruses that are out in the wild. I have yet to hear of a P series phone being infected.

Invisible bluetooth will solve the issue.

Doesn't it affect only symbian phones?

well I was PC Shopping in Nehru Place today, when I was constantly being sent a 15 KB File..!
My assembler asked me to switch off the BT as its a symbian virus..Although I knw it won't affect my precious...as se is non symbian..But din't want to take the risk..
Oh yes even after ignoring the file, BT was busy so..I switched off the phone and turned off the BT before the Req came in again..Any one with suggestions or comments...
