Nokia 6820 I thought its 900/1800/1900 mhz frequency based on the following site http://www.esato.com/phones/index.php/phone=142

But, some other sites are giving its 850/1800/1900 now I'm confused, I have ordered these from cingular thinking that it will work on 900/1800/1900 (most of India works on 900). So what are the actual specs. I have looked onliine.

If I unlock it then will it work on 900 or not. If not then it is waste of money for me.

Please advise.

Here are two references for the 6820. One from Nokia and one from Cingular. The problem with Nokia is that they mfg. the same phone for different operators without redesignating the phone. For instance the T630 has 900/1800/1900 the T637 (same phone) has 850/1800/1900 band.
Nokia does not do that. Depending where you buy you can get either/Or

http://www.nokia.com/phones/c[....]=EN&pageaction=COMP&phone=6820

http://onlinestore.cingular.c[....]ubOrderId=0&pageFrom=ES_PHONES

As you can see that phone is available as 850/1800/1900 and 900/1800/1900. To know exactly what bands you got you would need to access the service menu (which I don't know how), or check with the seller.
