hi does anyone know of and java program etc, which allows you to use the infra red port as a remote control to operate tv VCR DVD etc...? i have seen one for phones which use symbian software such as nokia 3650 and help would be appreciated

To my knowledge,none are available.Only symbian at present.

Yes there is supposedly one java prog. But no one uses it as the ir can have a range of only few centimeters. (It was called front.... Something.) As they say, use the search.

maybe its not possible or available as conneting thru IR is not relaible/secure as it is with :bt:

Its no use...the IR range on SE phones are less than 12 inchs. |
