Has anyone gotten ANY email account to work using the K700 email client with SSL enabled? If so, please list provider and settings. I am thinking the included email client has bugs with SSL, as it always seems to hang on "receiving messages." It always works fine without SSL enabled...

gmail needs ssl to be enabled. (however there is supposedly a bug that wont let you put the letter m in domain) let me see if i can dig that up.

edit: got it. here you go Gmail announces POP3 access. page3

that confirms the letter "m" bug and you will get the settings.

Apparently no one uses their K700 for SSL email, as this outgoing domain bug is really an issue. It's not just an "m" bug, is the third letter after the "." that gets truncated.

I also confirm that recieving email over SSL only works when there are no messages, but hangs on "recieving email" when there are new messages. So this is also faulty...

Anyone know any other J2ME SSL email clients for the K700??? EmailViewer also doesn't seem to work for me, so please help me find one that works!!

Again, is there ANYONE that has SSL email working on their k700 with NO problems??? TELL ME HOW.

For me it's the 'k' in smtp.yahoo.co.uk that gets cut off. So doesn't work with my Orange f/w revision R2AC003, which is quite recent.
