According to the tech specs the T68i should be fully supporting WAP 2.0. Since I could not find any site which uses XHTML Mobile I created my own test page. I found out that the style properties do not have any affect on my T68i. I tested the test page on the nokia mobile browser emulator and on internet explorer and they displayed the style correctly.

Anybody any ideas ?

If you want to test it yourself wap (or surf) to

This is the source of the page:

The T68i whitepaper states that both the WAP 2.0 markup languages are supported, XHTML Basic and XHTML Mobile.

BTW I also tried it with an external stylesheet (which is also supported in XHTML Basic) and that didn't work either.

If you can get the developer's guide it would be best because it contains the specifics of the implementation in the T68.

But does the T68i support stylesheets?
I don't think it's implemented yet.

From which document did you get this table? I could not find it in any of the documents on the ericsson site. Would be a bad thing if the have left out such an important feature. I also wonder from which date the document is. Since it says that CSS will be supported I wonder in which firmware release.

It's from May 2002.

The developer guidelines are intended for developers of WAP services who want a deeper insight into designing applications for the Sony Ericsson WAP terminals.

True. I didn't check, but they have removed 16 pages from the original document. Including "Appendix A: XHTML modules" (list of supported tags) and "Status of language".

Write your email address in a private message, and I'll send the original document to you.

So what was the final outcome. Does the T68 browser support color? I cannot get it to display color even when I specify the color directly in the

tag.

Cheers Mike

There is no outcome yet. I also try to get an answer from ericsson. I will post here if I know anything more.

BTW I don't expect the gateway has anything to do with it since the page can be retrieved correctly. Would be strange if the gateway filters out the style information that is embedded.

I got an answer from Ericsson that stylesheets (CSS) are NOT supported on the T68i.

Not very nice to of sonyericsson to state that the T68 supports WAP 2.0 and then leave out one of the most important feature.
