My thanks in wild profusion! Worked just fine for me, twice! (Appears losing pairing got another default plist written over - just edited it with BBEdit and back on line) |

It seem that the mac sync system (isync) works for some, but not for all.
I cannot sync my p910 with my tiger. It is frustrating.
It appears : " The connection was lost while getting the changes from the device.
Device "P910a" synchronization failed"
And in the phone it appears:
Program closed
Motive code: USER
Motive Number : 11
iSync Agent Stopped
My connection works perfect. I use my Powerbook to surf the internet using the phone as a modem via bluetooth and GPRS, I can transfer files from the PB to the p910, everything works great. Everything but isync.
Any help would be appreciated,

I often find with my P910i (OS 10.2) that Isync wont work (says it cant connect), but if I shutdown the phone and restart it, it works fine.
I'm not sure if this is relevant to your Tiger problem, but it cant help to try.

Listen people, sorry, I have been absent from this forum for a while... Could you when you have problems please press apple-2 when you have isync open. This will open the log file. When the problems occur, the errors will appear in RED. Please post the contents of these along with any error messages on the phone or otherwise on the computer on here? It helps a lot

If you are having connection issues, please open isync config on the phone, and click isync in the menu and STOP the agent from running. Then restart it by clicking isync menu and then start.
If you are using an EXTERNAL bluetooth adapter, please UNPLUG it and plug it in again into a DIFFERENT PORT.

Hi Using 10.4.2. sync of calendar always fails with the phone showing:
Program closed, reason code Agenda model, reason number 10
The log shows:
10:12:07 Connecting to P910i
10:12:07 Device "P910i" connected
10:12:07 Receiving changes from "P910i".
10:12:08 "P910i" finished receiving changes
10:12:09 "P910i" Processing changes...
10:12:10 Error Cannot connect to the device. Device not found.
10:12:10 Error Device "K700i" synchronization failed
10:12:16 Error Cannot connect to the device. Device not found.
10:12:16 Error Device "P900" synchronization failed
10:12:17 "P910i" engine processing complete
10:12:17 Applying changes to "P910i"
10:12:23 "P910i" applying changes complete
10:12:26 Error The connection was lost while sending some changes to the device.
10:12:26 Error Device "P910i" synchronization failed
10:12:26 [Mac -> P910i] Calendar events changed: 2 added, 0 modified and 0 removed
Any advice?

Sorry, previous post was blank !
Anyway, hope some one somewhere can help me, I 'm having amajor headache with iSync.
GOt a new Imag last week, running Tiger. Set up the phone, and it synced fine, no porblems at all, transferred all the stuff over to iCal.
THen I installed Pocketmac Gobetween, which is software that syncs iCal with Entourage, and sync ethen, I can't get anything to work at all. I then tried uninstalling Gobetween and that didn't work.
I've since removed all devices from iSync, to start from scratch, and now when I go to Add Device, it scans, and recognises my P910i, but I keep getting the message that iSync is unable to connect to this device.
All my settings on the phone are set to enable communication with the Mac, but it just won't connect to the phone.
Its getting really frustrating now - any one any suggestions?
I've been reading through most of this thread - all six pages of it - and do I need to follow loz's instructions to the letter?

I know can sound silly
but Updating to Panther 10.4 is worthed
for I Sync the p910
It works great, flawless, and fixed a lot of issues I had before on 10.3.9

I thought Tiger was the latest and newest release, and that it updated from Panther? |
