Or you could always think of the expression "The grass is greener on the other side..." I've just left the SPV range as they're more buggy than any other phone I've had. All up to and including E200 (I'll use orange terms) are slow and crash regularly.
The new C500 has graphics issues when playing games. There has always been a host of untalked about issues as well with every model, such as audio quality, battery life and MMC card sensory loss (E200 again).
It's all the same general buggy software and the C500's software is nothing new either (just a rehash of the E200's). I won't slate them completely, but please don't think their anything special. Software updates used take a while too (on any network/provider). |

Microsoft has this habit of coming out with new stuff that is so full of bugs that it would crash more often than not. Then, rather than fixing the problem, they would come out with a supposedly newer and improved version and sell it to you. The consumer (YOU) is then stuck with Microsoft's vortex. It's you giving them your hard earned money and them giving you crappy software.
Just because Microsoft spends a ton of money on advertising a crappy product, it doesn't mean that they spend that same amount of money in developing it.

Why mustn't Tindo make his point even though it is poorly argumented?
Why is spv "evil"?

I dont know how stable are the oldest spv/windows mobile BUT win2003 SE is very stable and the spv c500 (htc typhoon) it's fast and performant. And the graphics issue has been resolved by an update (somewhere in oct). Masseur had another phone with win2003 SE (sp3i - htc feeler, the same inside as c500) and he was pleased

the c500 can never prove itself to be as powerful as an SE phone. SE makes quality products. they are stable and feature rich (and they work). and i dont think that an spv has a soul like an SE

Bart did u hold a c500? The spv c500 has more feature (except fm radio, 1.3mp camera) than all SE phones (except P series). Great voice quality, multi tasking, great software, wma suport, etc. So overall, the c500 is on the top of SE phones (except P series). However, it's not perfect, it has some minor issues.. but, then it's OK

Of course, the c500 (and SPV in general) can only be compared with Pxxx series devices, as they both belong to the category of smartphones. Even then, the SPV range are on the level of 'junior' smartphones such as Nokia's series 60. The Pxxx definitely outclasses the SPV devices in terms of functional caabilities.
