K700i Vs SGH-D500 |

Please tell me people, I love the styling of the D500, and the K700, I'm not bothered with the radio, so tell me, is the D500 a worthwile investment over the K700?
PS: Has anybody got any pictures of the two phones side by side, just for size comparison.

the D500 isn't worth it. its a good phone thats true, but not worth the upgrade. an S700 (normally cheaper in price 2) is a far better investment.
D500 only 4MB for java apps! irda, still doesn't work, UI is still poor and its hard to find some stuff from time to time.

Hmmm, if the D500 were compared to the K700, then the D500 would win? The S700 is a bit large.... A great phone but large.....
Dows anyone know of any phones with the features of the K700, with the size of the D500, which isnt a 6230....

S700 is big ger then the D500 but you'll get use to the size after 2-3 days. just try it!

Oh to hell with it, I'll jusst get a K700i, theyre cheaper and just awesum little phones, I'll save up for when decent size 3g-phones are made..............

i would say the D500, 80mb of internal memory and its tiny. Looks fantastic IMHO.
but, each to his own.
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Im sold on the D500 on everything except the price, the lack of radio doesnt bother me, but according to bart, the UI is crap compared to  , you wouldnt happen to own a D500? If so, post pix and comments

No disrespect but bart thinks every u i except se is crap so not the best person for an un biased opinion. Have a look in the other manufa thread an esato member has bought one and posted a review on it see what you think of it after reading that

i don't think they are crap, i think that some of them are crap, and that others are good, but less good then SE.
SE also has some bad phones in my eyes.

Fair enough but i ve seen in other posts you sayin the following ui are crap nokia samsung and motorola so i take it you must think the remainder are ok :)

i dont have a D500, but i have used one, and no it isnt as good as an SE UI, the phone just screams class and quality. It feels solid and its features are pretty good. I dont really care about the Infra red as it has great bluetooth connectivity.
In my opinion, and i do love SE, the D500 is an overall better phone than the K700i.

i never said that the UI of nokia was crap. its a good one, but not as good as SE.
motorola well sure, even there razer failed to please me.
samsung nice design and thats it, nothing more

mate, can I ask you why you got rid of it, was it because of the phone itself?
A friend of mine has a T610, and keeps telling me to get a K700 because of its features, etc. I would get one except, the D500 would be a thorn in my side, its just such a cool phone, well looks anyways.... The mobile-review.com review was not only helpful but swayed me more...

The D500 is a bloody good phone. The SE has better but lower volume ringtones. The Samsung camera beats the SE k700 one. It has no noise at dark conditions and even in day conditions shows true skin colour. the k700 has a pinkish tinge to skin in photos.
