Update service has caused a very strange effect! |

I used the Update Service to check for updates to my K700i but it just downloaded R2L again and now when I go to my pictures on the phone I had a folder in there called Contact Pics were I store all the pics I use on my phonebook contacts. This has now changed into an icon of a box with a musical note and a picture of a face in it and when I try to delete it I get "Cannot delete item, protected file". The only option I have is Send. The item is 0 bytes in size too!
The strange thing is that my contacts still have the pics associated with them even though it is not recognised as a folder!
Another side effect is that browsing through images (especially camera) are really slow to load, I can be looking at a black screen for 5 seconds before any images appear!
Anyone else had this problem?
p.s. I have enclosed a pic of the icon.

@~DC:UK~:
SEUS DOES cause various issues on phones.
After the first time I used it, I got my phone messed up. Other than loosing two frames in the camera, I've also had a corrupted Sony Ericsson.gif which was absolutely undeletable. All sub-folders in the Pictures folder disappeared while the pictures in them still existed. A Master Reset -> Reset All couldn't help at all. Finally, a 13 sec. trick uncovered the Camera folder but corrupted Sony Ericsson.gif still existed and lost frames have forever gone...
We are discussing about various issues caused by SEUS in the last 10 pages in the following thread:

really strange. do a master reset, 13 sec... etc... but i doubt if it solves your problems.

simple, restart your phone. i had the sthing quite similar. my themes dissapeared even waip which i couldnt delete before. i tried putting it back on and it renamed itself to waip(1), meaning waip was still there only i couldnt see it. a simple restart solved it |
