i am using G4 -> BT -> P900 connecting to the internet.
i am able to connect via GPRS using *9**2#, however i am unable to connect via modem.
I am using the same number, username & password for my modem settings to connect , and i get this error
"no carrier detected. please check phone line connection and try again"
*** i have OSX 10.3.6 & here are my settings ***
-- BlueTooth:
account name:
password:
telephone no:
they are the same as what i have for internal modem
-- PPP options:
checked: send PPP echo packet
checked: use TCP header compression
checked: disconnect if idle
checked: disconect when user logs out
checked: redial if busy
everything else are un-checked
-- Bluetooth Modem:
Ericsson infrared V110
Am i missing anything, please help!!

First:
UNchecked: send PPP echo packet
UNchecked: use TCP header compression
Then re-pair your phone FROM the phone. It seems that since the new iSync came out, this cropped up. Re-pairing the phone gets the connection going again. Make sure that your phone is set to use a modem dail-up account as prefered account.
Hope this helps. |

@jerryrense,
thanks for your input. one question for you, under internet accounts on my p900, i have (1) t-mobile GPRS & (2) MMS and preferred account is set to t-mobile GPRS now.
i do not need to create another account for dial-up, correct? also, for the connection type of my GPRS account, do i select dial-up instead of GPRS?
i will unchecked those two items you suggested and give it a try and report back to you later.
ok...
i just tried per your suggestion and i am still getting the same error.
any other ideas? you can send me an email sfaguy@yahoo.com if you wish to take this offline and perhaps send me your configurations for both P900 & Mac bluetooth.
