nothing will be deleted. just think on it this way.. its the same as if you download updates for windows. it just improves the phone..

@tempsonyfreak

Don't do a master reset! You will lose all games on your phone and other files. The reset will not solve your problem.

You have suffered a corrupted firmware when performing the update using Sony Ericssons Online Update Service. Before the service was down a week or so last month, a lot of people got their phones corrupted. Now it turns out that the service still have this problem.

The only solution for you is to take the phone to a service centre. If you are lucky they can re-install the firmware. Otherwise they will have to send it to Sony Ericsson in order to have it fixed. There is currently no way to re-install the firmware using the Online Update service.

Most of us thought that this problem was fixed by Sony Ericsson when they took the service down for a week. Now it turns out that they have failed doing so.

I wouldn't recommend anyone right now to use the Online Update Service. Far too many people have gotten their firmware corrupted using the service. It's mostly the user interface that gets corrupted, but I've seen other problems as well, like the radio not working no more etc. If you keep using your phone you will eventually see more problems with your phones user interface, like lost frames in camera mode etc.

I have written about this problem here: http://www.esato.com/board/vi[....]opic=72651&start=15#post972152
