hmmm, i am not sure it could be quite alot of things. Maybe you have alot of programs running and so you dont have enough ram to open the email. do you have sman installed? if so try closing all application before you open the email. Or maybe the content of the email cant be recognised?

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

I sometimes get that error message in various programmes (often MiniGPS) on my P900. It seems to me to be the P9's equivalent of Windows' 'General Protection Fault' or 'Invalid Page fault', i.e. an error message that can occur anywhere and (seemingly anyway!) for any reason!

Yes i also think that it's a standad message for error and i've seen it in some other programs to, Avantgo for example. In that case i think it is a bug because Avantgo for symbian is a beta.
My mail problem is different, of 10 mails 2-4 of them can't be opened, i get this irritating error instead!

i occasionaly encounter the same message when browsing with opera.i'm inclined to think it's memory related,as it only seems to happen on HUUUGE websites,or when browsing for 30 mins +

In my case it doesn't have anything with the memory to do, it's no difference if i close all app's and the mail is small.

I've had this problem a couple of times too. It's really annoying and seems to be a problem with a particular e-mail. I end up having to delete it in outlook before i can use mail on my phone again. Also because there's an unread mail i seem to stop getting alerts when receiving sms's. They just appear in the inbox without warning.

It might be worth backing up any data you have, and doing a master reset - perhaps there's a bit of a deleted or uninstalled programme causing a gremlin in the works?

Or use Sman to search through your p9 for bits of programmes you've deleted - just be careful what you delete though if you do this, you could make your situation worse - only do this if you're totally sure you know what you're about to delete!

I've done a backup and a master reset but maybe i'm not doing it the right way. I used pc-suite and did a backup, than i did the master reset and after that i did a restore. In that way would i get corrupted files back in the phone again, or?

Error msg KERN-EXEC Reason number 3 (P800/P900 series)

A part of the incoming email message is in HTML. The P900 email client does not support HTML.

But is generally able to display the text within the message excluding formatting.

In this case it could be an issue in the HTML or maybe the fact that the message is multipart with some of the mail in plain text and some in HTML.

I was informed by the Sony Ericsson service centre that the code means "corrupted files". Its not related to memory problems or any programs in specific, I had that problem with trying to change my ringtone. Its standard when there are files that are corrupted.

If you backup, master reset and do a restore, then yes you will still get back the corrupted files, the only thing you can do right now in my mind, is restore from a previous backup which does not contain the corrupted files (not too bad if you do constant backups) or start from fresh which is a good idea as well to get rid of all unwanted files especially if you're a heavy user with many 3rd party apllications.

I've read that on SE-support but i don't think that this is my problem tho i can have the problem with e-mails with plain text.

I think you have the right answer...

I've had this problem for a long time, almost since the phone was new after i installed my apps so i dont have a backup that i think is ok...

I probobly be better to start from fresh.

Thank you all for your help!
