how to transfer mp3 song ? |

hi,i'm new to SE phone and today just purchased a K700i ,
any pal here can advices me how can i transfer the mp3 songs i have frm my laptop to this phone ? i'm going to use IrDA
therefore,do i need to install the software frm the CD provided ?
and the mp3 format we used to play in PC
issit also playable in this k700i phone ?
or need to do any convertion ?
pls advices

Due to the low memory of the k700 I would not expect you to think that it’s a replacement to a dedicated mp3 player, its ok but at the end of the day it’s a phone first.
Just a tip I herd (somewhere on esato) that you can squeeze more mp3's buy converting them to mp4 files (or something like that) and you don’t lose any quality!

right now i m tranfering one single mp3 song (abt 5mb)
somehow the IrDA connection is very slow 
it really took long time for this transition...
just wondering how you guy usually transfering the file,pic,music to you k700i ?
how fast if all these done by BT connection ?

Absolutely you can i have done that file size just 1.5megs same sound quality the best software to convert it is nero burning rom but you have google nero mp4 codec after a download of around 300kb nero can encode mp4 from its wave editor.

You can use 3 methods for transfer:
-USB Cable- slow but reliable. Inconvenience of having to attach cable.
-IR- Even slower & inconvenience of having to line the ports up
-Bluetooth Adapter- Fastest transfer & very convenient wireless transfer with no need for line of sight. Less stable/reliable than Cable or IR
You can use dbPowerAmp, which is free, to make mp3 smaller. I recommend setting them at 80kbps & 44,100Hz & each song should be just over 2MB
