eggster. K700 great choice. However, I can't guarantee you optimal performance and experience without upgrading the software. Many bugs were fixed and new features added or tweaked. But seems like It's going alright RM far. Enjoy. I'll be getting mind this holiday. @JN. You seem SO cynical with regards to the phone. You try in SO many ways to avoid the phone's TRUE merits and aim 2 discourage. The battery is way improved and you know that!

@jaguy85 - My APOLOGIES here mate, but that's JUST how I see it ! I have USED quite a NUMBER of fones to date, though MOSTLY were Nokia branded ONES, and I did not encounter software/firmware problems . . . so goes with some SE fones too - T68i et al, no problems too I would not be SELLING my K7 then if I was just totally SATISFIED with it's PERFORMANCE as a consuming/buying public . . . Now, let's JUST leave it to @eggster2k what will be his verdict be - OK? Cheers! |

If you need to be able to install lots of different applications and you need the benefits of Symbian OS then go for the 6600. If you need a phone that looks good, is pocketable and sounds better then you need the K700i. |

all i need in a phone is a nice large clear screen, mp3 player and radio would be useful, games now and then but not really crucial, wallpaper/theme customisation, vga camera/video recorder & player, bluetooth, calendar and easy to text (i get 500 free a month!) and call. I think that's about all!!

Why does it have to be so complicated?

well...The old problem of SE vs Nokia..
In the words of Morpehus( The Great) Matrix 1...
Choose the Red Pill and you go back to where you where..choose the Blue Pill and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes...
Same if expressed here...
Choose Nokia, You remain in the Matrix world, where people have been blinded by earlier customer satisfaction,They keep living in the lucid dream all there cell-phonic life...Choose SE..It was formed out of the greatest communication Partner ship of Sony and Ericsson..Although they don't promise you the world they at least give you better value for money, more features in lesser cost..also most importantly its not like they will say Sorry, Sir we stopped manufacturing the phone last year so we don;t have any panels to replace your scratched ones or any components that are damaged..! Choose your Pill..But whichever you choose it what you want to believe..!
Symbian, well don't you Nokia lovers get it,Symbian is owned by Nokia in majority shares..SO no wonder they are so tight assed about keeping it a trade secret and not share that easily among other brands.
Look at Ericsson on the other hand Bluetooth was the brain child idea of SIG ( Special Intrest Group) which was developed and founded by Ericsson..But has Ericsson put a Bar on Bluetooth device and technology on other brands...
Anywaz, Good luck with your choice...
regards

@JAGUY85 - I've ordered a sim free siemens sx1 to see what they're like. The sx1 for me would be good, it has best features of the 6600 and mp3/fm radio from the k700i.

@eggster2k - Yeah . . . the Siemens SX-1 is a nice one too matey . . . though it will need some - 'keyboard-typing-like' exercise when making some lengthy SMS on it Really confusing and far-away from each other . . . 'ear-to-ear' distance! |
