It is not the constrast!!!!!!!!

It is a hardware problem......I used to have this problem 2 months ago..... I thought that my phone was ok........but..... when I compared my T68m R1B with my friends T68m R1B I realised that mine was more yellow..... So I went to Ericsson and changed it......
Now my phone is as bright as the T68i in the picture.....

The only way to make Ericsson change the phones is to take with you both a good one and a bad one.....since by first sight the phone looks ok.....and Ericsson will not compare it with an other one.....or maybe the one they have is yellow too......

There is no way you can fix this problem...... The only way is to change it with a new...... the new one is going to be 70% yellow again......It is very hard to find a white one....

Finally I have a friend of mine who has T68i and his LCD is yellow......

By changing the contrast you do nothing..... you just make it brighter yellow

as mathmos says and like i said a few posts back....again for you slow cats:

theres always been slight differences in screen whiteness since before the T68i, now it's available the screens appear to be exaclty the same with some being whiter than others....it's not dependant on model but people will believe anything.

yes it is the contrast not the LCD...the standard setting or the company's setting for the T68i is higher than T68m. so even if you upgraded your M to I, the the default contrast of M will remain.

I bought 4 t68i's (three to sell and one for myself) and I noticed that one of them was brighter than the others..... I kept this one naturally...

jr_rca ---> Do I sound like someone that doesn't know what he is talking about??????

I am not that stupid to say such things!!!!!!!!!!

It is not the contrast!!!!!!! Even if you change the contrast or even the service menu contrast the problem remains the same...... by changing the contrast you will only manage to change the density of the yellow ......The yellow will remain in your screen whatever you do......
I spend 1 month going to Ericsson..... Now I can say that I am a professional in this subject.....

There are yellow T68m and T68i
It is not very easy to find a white one.....I changed my phone 6 times until I got a good one....

mathmos23:

i agree with ur point, i've tried to adjust the contrast, it only changes the black:white ratio, but not the actual brightness....

i think it is more to do with the back light, the T68i might have brighter LED's

Both LCD's are the same for T68m and i. The back lights are improved on the T68i and a new LCD costs around £60. I know this cos I have had to order some.
