Hi,

I have a T-mobile K700i. If I want to upgrade to the latest firmware AND unlock my phone, which one should I do first? Can I still upgrade an unlocked phone with decustomising it?

Thanks.

Does this mean I can use my DSS-25 syncstation to unlock/debrand phones?

Oh also,

No you can not use DSS20/25... you need Service cable...

Download on TS.net is not there for a few days now so I say go to www.davinciteam.com

well this is confusing.. you need the sync station to do firmware updates and the service cable to unlock?!

NO... to use official SE Update Service you need DSS20/25 and go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/K700/frameset.htm and do the update if you can...

If you want to debrand/repair, change language, unlock or do firmware update with unofficial solutions you need Service Cable...

It is your own decision:

TMS is avaliable here:
www.movitel.net/ftp/multiserver.zip

The SERU is avaliable here:
http://www.gsm-software.net/log/info.php
and here:
http://www.davinciteam.com/

I am using SERU at the moment as was not satisfied with some issues on TMS.

BUT THE ONLY THING I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND IS:

GO TO OFFICIAL SE SERVICE CENTER!

TC,

Velimir

ring up sony ericsson - the uk number should be in the service and support booklet supplied with your phone.

then ask them where the nearest se service center to leeds is!

service centres are official because they do things the right way, and if i am correct have warranty? i dont know, but they are the professionals not us! [addsig]

I have heard from an old Service Centre that SE has decided to close down all service centres and use ACR Logistics (formerly Hayes) for all firmware upgrades...?
