The GS2 is a beast of a thing, lovely phone, and it gives most recent phones a run for their money, mine is still on stock but i will load 4.1.2 update when its officially released.

And this week the thread "celebrated" its 9th birthday. Most of the people who posted on here have since moved on to other things.

Hobbs and Tsepz are still around, occasionally spot them on Instagram. Rhino8 has been spotted on MyBroadband forums, and that's also where I used to spot KBR786.

Dunno what happened to the other guys like the legendary amawanqa.

Me, haven't had a Sony cellphone in years but absolutely love my Bravia.

Also started dabbling with home theatre set-up, specifically thinking of getting a Rasberry Pi, loading it with XBMC and plugging it into my tv...#cordcutter.

Until next

Hope everyone is well, just realized there is no 2014 post, so hope all are having a Happy New Year and have settled back into normal life nicely after the December break.

I was browsing through the web at work and I wondered what had ever happened to Esato where I spent countless hours back in the day trying to improve the lot of whatever Ericsson phone I had at the time.

Haven't used a Sony Ericcsson, or now Sony phone in over five years (if not more). Personally I don't even have a preference any more but I draw the line at Chinese phones, so don't expect to see me with Huawei or anything of that sort. Speaking of Huawei, their user interface looks vomit-inducing, but I guess they have to differentiate themselves from all the vendors flogging Android.

Hope everyone is still good, considering the slow death of Esato, some of you might only read these comments in a few months, or God forbid in a year.
