The HTC Diamond 2 is now on sale here; and don't expect any change from approximately R6000:

@JK: Good to see you back. The first thing I'd do would be to try out the generic SE fw. The C905 seems a nice phone, don't know why Voda would want to cripple it with junk. Hopefully this should resolve ur latency issues else I suggest going with MTN.

Hey brixster:
Did you or The Hobbster see any of the IPL parade today?

http://content.cricinfo.com/ci/content/current/image/index.html

Newlands seems to be tarted-up a fair bit too with all the IPl adverts etc.

@ Jojo:

Thanks mate. Yeah that Yamaha R6 is a 2007 model. The quickest way to tell is the shape of the middle 'park' light between the 2 main headlights. Also, the ram air duct louvres under it, on the later model, are angled differently. Here's a pic of the 2008/2009 one:

@ Jojo: Yup, you're right; they were called either fox-eye or cat's-eye headlights, when headlight shape design really began evolving.

To be honest, I don't know if there is a name for the newer headlight designs, maybe because almost all modern bikes have an individual 'face' to them, that they don't categorise just one style or shape of headlight.
Stacked projector beams were quite popular at one point, but all of the Jap superbikes and sports bikes get revamped every 2 years, so it's constantly evolving.
Still, i think the R6's headlights and their layout is the meanest-looking of virtually all of the Jap bikes; quite insect/praying mantis-like IMHO, LOL.

@da wanqa: Unfortunately didn'tt catch the parade as I was out on West Coast for an assignment. I'm still getting used to the idea of cricket being played in April. I cant see how the weather will hold, especially in CT.

@ama - Oh yeah . . . the TYPE of BULB-used in those headlights is another story Here at my end, the yellowish-type of headlights (stock in cars) is becoming obsolete . . . a whiter-hue (and brighter)/Xenon (like the FLASH bein' used in camfones is the IN thing now . . I guess that's what they will also be usin' in Big Bikes in the future

Thanks again . . . oh by the way, professor . . . you forgot to locate, Elise during the Bike Show

Jojo, I didn't see her there, mate, but the bike dealership that she works for tells me that she is currently in the Philippines, looking for someone she'd heard about who may be the very soul-mate that she's been looking for...

Nokia are now set up to produce 1 million 5800's a month! What a success story the S60 touchscreen has been for Nokia so far, and the momentum is just continuing to build. It'll sure be instrumental in ensuring market share and sales stability, at this rate, for sure.

Oh, and I was wrong about the share prices; despite the doom n' gloom, their shares rose 8%.
