anyone knows of a way to send someone to voicemail without waiting for them to ring-off if you forget to turn the sound down (and looking like a prat in a meeting). Same gripe as v600, doesn't look like they've done much to fix it. Anyone???

Ok, I just bought a V3 today and I gotta say it's
a _GREAT_ phone but I got one question (the rest has already answered by this superb forum thx a lot):

is there any (hacking if necessary, couldn't find any option till now) way i can alter (reduce) the VERY annoying 2 seconds you have to wait before pressing the same key in text mode? I mean all my previous phones had shorter "delay"..

Thx a lot and again.. you guys rock!

ok, I got the v3 anyway.

For anyone who wants to know - on the v3 (unlike the v600) you can press the volume down button when it starts ringing if you forgot to set it down already, so when it embaressingly starts ringing in meetings you can shut it up, instead of waiting for it to ring off, or answering it to send someone to voicemail.

Also, sure, its related to the v600, but they've fixed all the annoying stuff, like it now has the option to vibrate at bthe same time as ringing, not vibrating and then ringing.

However - has anyone else noticed using a headset, this and the v635 both actually ring/vibrate instead of being able to hear it ringing in the headset and the phone staying silent. If you don't hear it over the stereo you don't hear it auto-answer until suddenly voices begin in your ear. Anyone know if this can be changed?

Whenever someone calls my V3, it seems to ring all of 4 seconds before switching to "Missed Call."

Is there any way I can increase the ringer time?

(EDIT: Still no V3 avatar? Dang.)

I think that is operator dependant and not the phone.. at least i got Voda Sweden to increase the time before diverting call.
Give them a call and they´ll sort it i think!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and must say I really enjoyed reading thru it.

Would anyone know if it is at all possible to remove the keypad tones?

Thanks a million!

@michaelz to turn the keypad tones off you have to go into the settings, then select ring styles, then press down and select change and the keypad tones are at the bottom of the menu.

@rimmer5 Thanks for the tip... just realized how much customization can be applied! This is absolutely fantastic. The more I play with this phone, the more I like it!

This is really the greatest phone I've owned in years!

Does anyone out there know if a regular mini usb cable can be used to charger the phone instead of the charger or supplied usb lead? I've left my charger at a friends and won't be able to get it for a couple of days and my battery is dead! Was hoping for an alternative way to charge it!
