should be noted that it's really created by a company called HTC i think. It's a chinese company. iMate simply rebrands it like how providers do.
as deuxani mentioned

Looks nice, but the grey/white/metallic SDA on the msmobiles page lookseven better. Apparently this is the way it will go in the future.
Unfortunately this i-mate is missing one major feature: a SE-logo ;-)
Also I am wondering if I'd want Windows on my phone. Windows is for computers. You look at that Microsoft-look all day, and probably on a home computer also. Sometimes you just want something else. When starting a Windows-phone the whole atmosphere of the GUI spells "and now to work" whereas the GUI of the mobiles spell "something else here". Windows for phones has only one strong point and that is the 'today' screen. Mobile-GUI's are better adapted to the way a small device is controlled.
Maybe I'll change my mind once I have one - if ever. |

to be honest dela, it doesnt bother me with the windows interface, because funny enough it feels welcoming i mean the icons looks familiar so you no what they are for and dont look intimidating like the p800 (symbian) did when i 1st bought it 2 or 3 years ago. i think any new pocket pc user will find it a breeze, a second nature should i say.
there you go spindr, there should be good software for the jam on this site www.handandgo.com

agreed. having read through the i-mate manual its virtually the same as the windows mobile 2003 SE that I have on my iPAQ except it has extensions for the phone functions.
the windows mobile for smartphones on my SP3i has a familiar feel but all the menus etc are quite different and I hink MS have done a good job at implementing that
anyway, I am busy waiting for notification that my JAM has been shipped, which should be today by all accounts.
Expansys received 500 yesterday and I can see that they are slowly working through the orders and getting them shipped
