i phoned CPW to day asking id they have any 7600 in stock, the guy sed no, but on the 25.10.04 they will get 100,000 spread around the stores and to direct orderline.

how on earth do they think they will sell 100,000 7600?????
not even at £44.99, maybe if is was simfree but no way on "3"

I managed to get 2 (the most they allow per customer) and the missus did likewise. However, this was on 1 October, when the new monthly catalogue came in. I immediately enquired about the deal. The bloke said that they would only have stock 2 days later. Judging by the number of people asking, I decided to order online to avoid any stampedes or cues. It was on their website. The next day I received an email that my order could not be processed as they were out of stock already, but they would endeavour to get in within 2 weeks. 1 week later, I received a confirmation from cpw & got them the next day. The missus got her 2 five days later, even though she ordered 5 minutes after me online. Her 2 phones weren't the same usual grey 7600 colour, but came with the 'retro' "faecal ochre" express-on covers. But hey, for the money...
By Monday 4/10, the 7600 special was taken off their website due to the overwhelming demand,& hasn't been on again since!
I guess it pays off to 'strike while the iron is hot'.
Lastly,p900 lover, which CPW did you see the Motorola e398 for £39.99 on PAYG? Seems to still be £209.99 on their website today. Was it an earlier special?
