The FCC today approved the Motorola A668, a new tri-band GSM phone with a unique text-input technology called Finger Writing Recognition (FWR). The otherwise standard-looking keypad doubles as a touch surface, allowing users to trace English and Chinese characters with their finger to enter text. The clamshell phone also sports an internal antenna, dual color displays, and a megapixel camera with flash and video capture. The A668 will be manufactured by Chi Mei Communication Systems (CMCS).

When i was a kid, a friend of mine had a Casio watch in which we could input numbers and operators in the calculator by using it's screen and our fingers.
