hi all, i have heard that they're going to unveil a couple of new low end phones soon (in less than one month) but i don't have any other detail... have any of you heard about this?

There's at least one low end phone that will be revealed soon.
Maybe they will show it tomorrow when they present the financial results for Q3. |

new bells: one of these two phones could be asian-only. which i don't quite understand... they use nearly the same gsm bands as in europe. maybe it's because of their different writting.
anyway it looks that they're nothing to be very excited about

I guess too that the SE 230 is one of the latest low-end fone release of SE, very practical one, not that heavy on the budget too! |

A good move imo, they need to expand "downwards", not everyone can afford top of the range.

new info. the presentation could be this monday, 25th october, in at least beijing, taiwan and singapore. since i haven't received notification of any presentation in madrid, this could mean that the phones to be unveiled are both asian-only. who knows!

Agreed, it would be nice to see SE appealing to more customers with a broader range of products. The K500 is a step in that direction too.

it might also be an indication of se reaching some sort of internal target as low end phones weren't their main focus earlier on

It's certainly a possibility, it might also be a sign that SE now feel confident enough about their market position to be able to expand their product range and attempt to expand their market share.
