Yep it will work for any branded phone and yes my vodafone k700i is now totally brand free (except for the sticker heh) and it plays mp3 as ringtone as well as being tons faster and looking slicker.
After de-branding i was then able to use the online update service to put R2M firmware on the phone

Also what does this actually entail if i paid 8 quid-it doesnt say anywhere? Any ideas of other ways i can use my dss 25 to unlock my phone |

My guide tells you exactly what you need to do, all you need is the firmware files, i have a link for them but dont have permission to make it public so im not going to im afraid!
Im sure they will turn up on cellular support soon.
When you buy a credit from that site, it gives you your login/password straight away after you have paid...
I myself couldnt get the syncstation to work, but you could test it without needing a credit....
load up the app, look in device manager to see which port the syncstation is using (under ports)
set the program to use that port,
TURN OFF THE PHONE! and unplug the charger so its totally off
in the username/password bit just put username:username
password: password
Its a working login but just without any credit.
Then press unlock and it will say press ON the phone.
so press the on button and if it then starts conecting to the phone and complains you dont have credit, it will work with USB.
If it didnt, then it wont! or at least i dont know how to get it to work.
