This may be a silly idea, but is it possible to make a java app for the k700 to take photos, and muting the camera sound? Or has SE hardwired the camera function with sound?

Just set the profile to meeting and the camera click is silent (on mine anyway!) |

Depending on what firmware update you have, it is not possible to turn off the camera sound regardless of what setting. If it was that easy, i would have done it already  |

I have the same problem.
To get over tis I've found out coughing very loudly helps whilst taking a pictures  |

My tip:
Take picture and yell "ouch" just after, people will most prob think you snapped your leg or a meteor landed on your head! KRRRACK!
Then suspiciously limp away, problem solved!
