If I just knew that it could be unlocked, I'd also put my name on the waiting list. But I don't want to buy a phone I can't use. (I'm not switching to Vodacrap)

Looking at the manual I've just noticed that it says something about not using MP3s as ringtones?! Does that mean if I have an mp3 I wouldn't be able to use it as a ringtone? Is there any way around this?

The Vodafone version won't allow you to use own mp3 as ringtones. And it'll take a time till an unlocked V800 will be available. I don't like this shell-changing thing. No thanks. I'll stay with my unlocked, unbranded Z1010.

Yea its the network indicator light that blinks.. just like the Z600.... they have the video of it.. that rog posted..

I have a feeling that, the menu icons itself would be changed for the unbranded version.... tat wud be better than all red icons.... either way.. im cool with it...

The icons for the vodafone version that are in that manual are not so horrible really, but I too suspect an unbranded version would have true se icons.

i have a strange feeling that there might possibly be an unbranded version. i mean f500i for voda, k500i not.

suspicious.

do we really think are that stupid? i am sure they may release another one. i think the only reason it is for voda at the minute is they are the only company with 3g capability in coming months. [addsig]

I said about 5 weeks, that's what I've heard (five weeks ago) didn't heard an update/change on it.

why does it say exclusive at launch IN EUROPE for the v800 and exclusive at launch for the other models? does that mean the non-european markets will be able to get it non-voda?

More likely it translates into: vodafone does not have a 3G network ready to go elsewhere yet and therefore invested no money in it.

And yes that measn non european wmarkets will get it unbranded from date of launch.... but it does not stipulate when that launch will be
