Been using the P910i for a couple days now...Comparing it to the new Motorola LinuX OS phone...the e680...as well as trying to decide if the Qwerty board is really that great. Remember back in March of this year I first reported that the P900 would gain a Qwerty board....and for sometime no one really believed me because of the size this board would have to be in order to fit behind the keypad of the P900.

http://www.howardforums.com/s[....]62&highlight=%2Bp900+%2Bqwerty

Well, I guess I was right.....and I guess those who doubted my information because of the useability issues can feel alittle embarrassed...:allred: :allred:

But, in those Detractor's defense...this addition to the P900 is really almost unusable in my opinion. It takes alot of effort to hold this phone with two hands and use your thumbs with any degree of accuracy to input data using this board. Once again, the Motorola MpX is a clear innovator with its design and Qwerty board. Don't buy this phone for the keyboard...buy it for the screen and memory....Although once again the screen is very hard to distinguish between the P900 and P910i. The P910i does have alittle better color reproduction...but unless you have the two side by side.....you'll never know....

Also, my good friend Sung at www.globalmob.com is now upgrading the firmware of the P900 to allow the use of Duo Pro memory sticks....so...there really may be only one reason to trade your P900 for the P910i...and thats the SCREEN!! For those interested in just upgrading the memory of their P900, contact VirtualDynamix also known as GlobalMob and speak to Sung...

So, buy the P910i if you don't already own a P900 or if you just, really, really, really, think you can use the Qwerty board and/or want the 262,000 color screen. Otherwise, send your P900 off to Sung and get it upgraded for Memory Stick Duo Pro Support....

I know that they seem to have isolated the problem....but are still working on a solution...different bluetooth modules...

Whoa, SE is really shooting themselves in the foot there. A keyboard and a better screen? That's it? What a waste of time...

I can't (and never did) see any of the photos in your reviews. Do you know how I can see them? I'm not connected via wap, but with IE 6

bengalboy,

I think you forgot to mention that P910 is using a completely new BT chipset supporting Multilink, handsfree and sniff profiles (may well be the reasons why current P900-->P910 firmware are having BT issues after flashing). Also, it has 64MB C: drive vs 16MB of P900 and 22MB active RAM compared to P900's miseralble 6 - 7MB at best.

Btw, really nice pics you have here

Cheers

Thats right, I changed from P900 to P910 of the reason of bad RAM memory and that C memory become full just after some mms, sms, email etc. Agree that there is not much difference betweens the color of screens. BUT I got a very good price indeed to upgrade so I really not regret it. My first impression of Qwerty board was that it is unusable but I have changed my mind now and using it pretty much and saving the nice screen.
