GPRS settings for o2 on a Sagem myv-65 |
kmas Joined: Jul 18, 2004 Posts: 6 PM |
Hi,
I have set up my Sagem myV-65 on the o2 payand go network and seem to have it working fine except the fact that the GPRS won't work and when I receive a MMS, I only get a text telling me to go to a website to pick it up within 3 days.
I have the settings for GPRS and MMS sent to me by o2 but for a different Sagem phone. When I am inputting the GPRS details, I am told to put in an IP address, but there isn't a selction to enter it. I am trying to do it through the Applications-Settings menu, is this right?
Any help would be very appreciated!

It does work... 1st off you need O2 to activate your GPRS and MMS... secondly, put the settings in as follows:
Go to the browser menu and then ADVANCED>SETTINGS>PROFILES>MENU>ADD...
Provider Title: O2 Online
Then hit the Profile 'O2 Online'>Modify
Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk
Preferred Conne.: Perosnally, I use GPRS, but what ever you want!
GSM parameters:
Login: o2wap
Password: password
IP Address: 193.113.200.195
Port Type: Non secure
Dialup Number: +447712927927
Mode: Digital
GPRS parameters:
Login: payandgo
Password: password
IP address: 193.113.200.195
Port Type: Non secure
APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk
Then you can move back to the menu when it will now have the options:
Info
Modify
Activate
Choose Activate and away you go! Thats GPRS and WAP sorted.. next MMS:
Go to MESSAGES>OPTIONS>MMS>ADVANCED SETTINGS>MMS SERVER>MENU>ADD...
Provider title: O2 Online
Then Go to 'O2 Online'>Modify
MMS server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Preferred Connect.: GPRS
GSM parameters:
Login: o2wap
Password: password
IP Address: 193.113.200.195
Port Type: Non secure
Dialup Number: +447712927927
Mode: Digital
GPRS parameters:
Login: payandgo
Password: password
IP address: 193.113.200.195
Port Type: Non secure
APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk
Then you can move back to the menu when it will now have the options:
Info
Modify
Activate
Hit activate, Then give it a try!

Thanks, I am giving it a try, things in your first line when you say go to the browser, I only have Vodaphone Live! and it doesn't give me a choice of adding a new connection. The only place I seem to be able to do it is through Applications - Connection - Menu - Add, when I do it through there, there is no option for homepage or entering an IP address when you go into modify. I'm probably being so dumb

1stly, if you have just got ur SIM, then it takes a few days for the free stuff to kick in, and you HAVE TO TOP UP...
2ndly, if you have gone more than a month with out a top up, read the booklet that came with it becuase you have to top up at least £10 a month.
3rdly, the settings above work 100%... tried and tested by me and the poster of this thread!
