You must be talking about R2AE and not R2E.

If you, govigov, by "you" mean me, then NO, I am not talking about R2AE, I am talking about R2E011 which I had installed today. I agree that it appears to be something else, but it's not. I can't be arsed to take a picture of it right now.. |

Ok. Sorry Dude. if i sounded rude. It is just that the latest firmware is r2ae and all of the service centre and the update service now offers this new r2ae firmware.

No, I'm sorry..
Aright, then I am really confused. I am certain that the SE guys (called seweral times) said that the latest FW was released today and that it was called R2E011.. And the service centre is directly connected to SE, yes, and they even updated it seweral times to try and get the errors away. It's all very strange.. |

Sorry dude. Now you know the latest firmware is r2ae, try to get it. :-) (the se service centre will never do that, they got a policy of updating every cust that walks in. ) Something must have gone wrong and they could not upgrade your phone. So they put on that works and then gives it to you.

Yeah, something went really wrong.. :/
Well, okey, thanks for the information. Sorry for beeing so aggressive but I am really pissed off right now.. I'll try and find another service center. Thanks
(So is the fw i have very old or what?)
Edit: Isn't there any official site out there where you can confirm what the latest FW is?

Read the first post of k700/K500i firmwares overview. I think it is really old.

I promise this will be the last message from me here.. =)
I just read the firmware history, and I have realized that they have really fooled me. The reciept from them says it is the latest R2AE software, but it is surely not. They do not know who they are in war with. Thankyou govigov for the help. |

Mission succeeded! =)
It appeared as if the service center guy couldn't get the R2AE fw to work from the fw i had (R2AA), so he downgraded my phone and obviously he forgot to upgrade it again... But now it's in there, the new fw, and it's all fine - it really feels faster than the older ones. Only thing is that the SE startup logo isn't working, I can see about half of it only. Thankyou for your guidance govigov. |

The last available fw for the K700i from the official SE site is R2AY044. there are no bugs and with respect to ...E011 ver, the graphics are MUCH MUCH better.
As far as the battery, well, the way I resolved was to swap the original BST30 (Lithium ION 700 mAh) with a BST35 (Lithium POLYMER 700 mAh). Now it behaves a lot better even though a couple of hours worth of games will still eat it up however for normal mobile functions from 2 days it's more then doubled with this new battery.
