I am just about to order myself a Vertu Ascent phone. It looks really nice, especially the hand-crafted leather.

Wow... the price dropped from their original launch price. Or is that the Stainless steel model?

When they first came out, the were closer to £10000. This was for the Platinum version I think

And if you can afford to buy that phone and then after two years buy another one when it is obsolete. Meaning don't know what to do with all that squid.

Vertu phones can be upgraded. So all you need to do is to send in your phone for abou 2 weeks and they would upgrade what the internal hardware. So when they have bluetooth they can add the same. They can upgrade the screens ect.
I have a Ascent in Black and I really like the phone.
I have a P900 which i use for work.Use the Ascent when I travel and go out.
